Karma Bakery

Karma Bakery is a slow burning romance with multiple interested parties that is full of sugar, spice, and everything nice while trying to find your place in life, doing the best you can, appreciating what you have, and figuring out a way to move beyond a traumatic past.

*The books below are part of the Karma Bakery series and cannot be read as a standalone. Like all my books, they are not light and fluffy and include dark themes and events some may find triggering. Reader discretion is advised.

Conquered Obstacles: Book 7

Rough Beginnings

Imagine there weren’t three main gods of Olympus, but four. A sister who went through something so horrible, so traumatic she left and was written out of history.
Arabella Baker and her two adopted daughters are moving to Boston to open a new business and start over. Things will be different this time with the new names and new life. The twins will live on their own at college—though still right in Boston—and experience something a bit more normal. The store she bought has a hefty price, but the location is fantastic, and she got the best spot in the new development… Which apparently comes with an immensely attractive man who owns it all.
Nothing goes smoothly in opening a new business though, sample days, crazy busy, and fluff interviews taking dark turns. Honestly, it leaves Arabella asking one main question—why did she think opening in such a large city and right before the holidays was such a great idea?

Opening Struggles

It was a rough beginning for Karma Bakery with the out-of-control sample days and interviews that went way past fluff pieces. But Arabella Baker and her two daughters, Kary and Mary, have the needed security in place and have hired the right people to fit into the new family they’re building.
They even made some outside friends of the paranormal variety, and that’s not something they’re used to.
Now that the store is ready and people are interested, the Karma Bakery is ready for opening day… Mostly. There’s more chaos than they could ever have predicted, and since they’re on the outs with Colton, he’s not always swooping in to help or save the day. She let him in too easily, and now Arabella is determined not to make the same mistake.
But after thousands of years of being alone, suffering from her traumas and brothers who were supposed to love her failing her, is it really wrong to hope that maybe there could ever be a man in her life that’s important to her again?

Turbulent Expansion

After surviving Halloween, Arabella Baker is determined to do things better while achieving what she planned with her daughters in moving to Boston. The fates seem to help her a bit, and the stars align along with putting together some helpful suggestions, and she manages a way to expand.
However, nothing is ever easy, even for a goddess, and she hasn’t heard the end of the underhanded offers for her recipes. With how popular the bakery is in its first month and the attention they’re getting, the stakes are higher than she expected. It also means more shops opening in the park, and that could help or hurt the bakery depending on the owners.
But the list of allies is growing, and with a promised first date on the horizon, Arabella finds herself unsure and a bit lost… Especially when Jamie isn’t the only one showing interest and wanting to spend time with her. How is a goddess who abandoned everything she knew and trying to rebuild her life and power supposed to simply date and not have it all explode?

Weary Christmas

They made it through Thanksgiving with some hope things would get better. Even after the attack, people were so supportive and willing to help that Arabella Baker is certain Boston was the right place to start over. Her daughters are finding their way, and she’s building a family.
A bakery family, which is weird, but a good family she’s proud of and loves. That’s what matters.
However, everyone wants more and more than what is even possible for a goddess to handle. Somehow the woman who is thousands of years old finally went on a date, and four men now want her attention. Customers want more of everything. People are demanding partnerships and going over the line.
But the factory was the right move and it’s helping. Everyone is committed to making Karma Bakery a success and growing. Every time she turns around, someone has a new idea on how to expand or what to branch out into next. Can a goddess be enough to handle what everyone else wants while focusing on what she needs as a woman?

Juggling Concerns

Arabella Baker, her daughters, and the Karma Bakery rocked Christmas. Now she can put more into place instead of constantly running to make all the orders for the holidays.
Until Valentine’s Day at least. All bets are off then.
She’s also excited to work on her personal relationships. She feels like she’s surrounded herself with friends rather than people who worship her or even just employees. People who really value her, and then there’s the men who want to be with her. Even with a hiccup, she feels like she can handle progressing her relationships. It’s a good place to be.
So of course, everything has to blow up. Not with the bakery. New Year’s Eve is a cakewalk compared to what they’ve already been doing, and the path seems a smart one for the bakery.
No, this is personal, and something she hoped to never have to deal with. Life will never be the same once the curtain is pulled back this time. But does Arabella have the right people at her back this time, or will history repeat itself and break her?

Heartful Secrets

It’s a new year, and as much as Arabella Baker wishes that meant a new her, even a goddess can’t make that happen. Her past and family have found her, and while she’s thrilled she’s reconnected with two of her brothers, Zeus and Hera won’t leave things alone.
But that actually takes a back seat to the heartbreak she’s suffered. She would never have thought the man she’d been falling for was lying to her and a complete fraud.
All she wants to do is help people and bring some good to the world. It’s all Arabella has ever wanted to do, but if the cost is so high to her, maybe it’s just not worth it.
Maybe this world isn’t worth saving.
Maybe with Valentine’s Day around the corner, she can soak up the love of cute couples and crazy requests to keep going, keep expanding… Because she’s expanding again. And again. The question is what will the cost be to her this time and is she willing to pay it?

Conquered Obstacles

Spring is here and now that the “elite” warlock elders are handled, Arabella has one less thing on her plate… While tons more are added. That’s the life of any successful business owner, but being a goddess makes things slightly more complicated.
Slightly.
But she has a new house, with hope that her broken heart could heal and all the growth with the bakery could be worth the headaches. Plus, more expanding to increase her power and give more people jobs and security—better lives.
In a surprising turn of events, she stumbles upon more secrets, but this time they might not be ones that hurt her and instead heal her—help her even. She’s going to need it with St. Patrick’s Day and then Easter around the corner. The demands and orders are coming in faster and faster, people wanting more and more—and not just the customers.
But the threat of Hera and Zeus are always looming, and Arabella can’t win against them on her own. What can she really do except hope this time things will go better?
